South Shore Dog Lovers Pack Walk in Braintree, MA

Monday, September 23rd, 2013

Get Out & Get Walking!
(With your best friend, of course)

Instead of taking your dog to a fenced in “boxing ring” type of environment to romp around with other dogs, you can take them on a walk in their natural environment – with a pack!

The South Shore Dog Lovers Pack Walk invites you and your pooch to join their current 348 members to venture out on paved paths in Bear Cove or Meadow Park, or the more challenging hikes in Blue Hills (if you’re up for it, that is). Both you and your dog can socialize, meet new friends, get in shape and enjoy the fresh air together!

The group welcomes well-behaved, friendly dogs only as the walks can be off-leash. Otherwise, dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. A responsible adult must remain with their dog at all times. This is not a dog walking service or an obedience service, it is simply a friendly gathering of dog owners looking to socialize and enjoy the outdoors together!

Scituate Dog Adoption :: Meet STELLA!

Monday, September 23rd, 2013

Adopt a Dog In Scituate :: Meet STELLA!

We fell in love with this beautiful Beagle / English Bulldog mix, Stella, the very second that we laid our eyes on her at Friends of the Scituate Shelter. With her warm eyes and gentle expression, the lucky family who takes this girl home will surely have a full heart!

Stella, 2 years old, is very energetic and just loves to play so will be well suited as an exercise buddy. While she does get along well with other dogs, she’s just a little too interested in cats to safely reside with them. She will be best suited in a home with children who are 16 or older.

She is spayed, up to date on all shots, very healthy and ready to meet her forever family!

Scituate Cat Adoption :: Meet QUINN!

Scituate Cat Adoption :: Meet QUINN!

If you’re looking to adopt a cat in Scituate, please consider the ever-so-adorable QUINN from Friends of the Scituate Shelter.

Quinn is a young 1.5 year old short-haired tabby male that has already been neutered and is up to date on all shots. Quinn is considered a “special needs” kitty due to a kidney disease that requires he be fed a special diet, but Quinn is okay with his limited menu because the vet says he could easily have another 5-10 years of life ahead of him as long as he’s in a loving home!

He’s sweet and loving little guy with a fantastic personality and really enjoys playing. Since he can get a little bit rough while playing, it is recommended that Quinn only live with kids older than 8 years old. He’s great with other cats, too.
